Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY GRAHAM ALLEN (LIVINGSTONE) April 27, 1918 - June 18, 2006 Suddenly and peacefully at the St. Boniface Hospital, Mary left us to join her beloved husband George. George predeceased her in 1998 after 56 years of marriage. She was also predeceased by her parents, Annie Stewart Firby (Edward) Livingstone and James Livingstone; as well as her siblings, Effie Harrison, Marion Coffey, Lesley (Thompson) Ewart and Allan Livingstone. Mary will be sadly missed by her daughters, Lesley (Edmund) Weselak, Judy (Wally) Heide; and son Michael (Joan) Allen. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Jackie (Wayne) Gee, Jennifer (Todd) Dawson, Jill (Scott) Lobson, Lindsay (Murray) Thomson and Graham (Shannon) Heide and nine cherished great-grandchildren. In their younger years, Mary and George loved the Grand Beach Dance Hall and dancing to the Big Band music. In the 1950s they built a cottage at Falcon Lake, spending many great years there at block 13, and then on block 10. Mary worked at Christie Biscuits, the Wheat Board and spent many years at Manitoba Health, before retiring. Shortly before retiring, Mary and George moved from Winnipeg to Aubigny, MB, where they enjoyed several years of country life. In the mid 1980s they returned to Winnipeg, living in St. Vital and finally settling in Columbus House, where Mary fueled her passion for bingo. She also loved being so close to Club Regent and the one armed bandit . Mary made many friends at Columbus House and enjoyed attending the social events in the block. Mary was a very strong willed, independent, proud lady, who loved a good political debate. We are very fortunate to have had such a great example set for us to follow. We love you and will miss you dearly. The families wish to extend a thank-you to her neighbour Eleanor, the home care workers and Dr. A Shah. A private graveside service was held June 23 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715
