ELSIE MARGARET SPENCE March 13, 1928 - June 23, 2006 After talking of going home for days, Elsie entered her eternal rest with the Lord. Leaving to cherish her momory are her daughters, Florence (James Sr.) Wood, Nancy Armstrong, Marlene Spence and Beatrice Decker; sons, Ernest Spence, Irvin Spence and Angus Spence; sisters, Helen Sumner, Lena McMahon and Louisa (Oliver) Bremner; brothers, Harvey Woodford and Stanley Woodford; seventeen grandchildren and twenty six great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law, Clara Woodford and Priscilla Kent; many friends and relatives, too numerous to mention. Elsie was always very involved with her children. Promoting, encouraging and supporting them in their academic endeavors. She said Education was the key to success. She took pride in their achievements and loved them unconditionally. She encouraged everyone to do the same. Elsie had many accomplishments in her life and also touched many lives. Her desire was not to be accredited for her successes but she knew her reward was waiting for her. She was one great lady to those who knew her. Her favorite songs were Wait till you see my brand new home and Wait a little Longer.
