EDWARD (ED) MCDONALD November 13, 1934 - June 23, 2006 It is with deep sorrow the family announces the passing of Edward (Ed) McDonald on June 23, 2006. Ed is survived by his wife Wilma; daughters, Karen (Ed) Marchand, Leah McDonald (Bob); and grandchildren, Nicole, Ryan, Brady, Cassie, and Brett. He is also survived by his sisters, Jeanette Normand and Jean Goethal along with many nieces and nephews. In his younger years Ed enjoyed wrestling and playing in a band with his brothers. Ed worked as a steamfitter and retired from the University of Manitoba in September 1998. Ed was a member of the Khartum Shrine Temple and was made an honorary member of the Provost Corps in 2005. The family wishes to thank the staff at CancerCare and Palliative Care for their support. Special thanks to Dr. Garcia and the staff from 3 E at Riverview Health Centre. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 29 at 1:00 p.m. in the E.J. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St., Winnipeg.
