JANET PEARL WILDE On Friday, June 23, 2006, after a lengthy illness Janet Pearl Wilde, aged 71, beloved wife of Gordon Wilde passed away in the Victoria General Hospital. Janet was born September 13, 1934 in Langbank, SK and moved with her family to Winnipeg in 1950. Jan worked for short periods at Woolworths and the Garrick Theatre where she met her husband-to-be Gordon. Married in 1954, Janet devoted her life to her husband and children and was loved by all who knew her. Jan was a sports enthusiast and avid community volunteer. She also enjoyed her summers at the family cottage at Falcon Lake as well as her love of gardening and reading. Jan is survived by her husband Gordon; sons, Guy and Gary as well as numerous other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her daughter Lori; parents, Jasper and Edith; and brother Wallace Street; father and mother-in-law, Max and Anne Marie Wilde. Funeral services in celebration of Janet's life will be held on Friday, June 30 at 2:00 p.m. in Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. with Rev. Michael Boulger officiating. The family would like to thank the hospital staff for the caring and compassion they provided. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jan's memory to a charity of choice.
