DAVID JOHN DONNIE KLASSEN (DON) Suddenly on Saturday, June 24, 2006 at his home in Roseisle Don Klassen at the age of 58 passed away. He will be greatly missed by his cherished wife of 35 years Lynda (nee Johnson), his daughter Cindy McDonald (Donald), daughter Nancy Swain (Gordon) and son Jason (Marlene). Most important to Grandpa his eight grandchildren, Graeme, Arran and Paige McDonald, Caleb, Jenna and Shaelyn Swain and Katlyn and Devon Klassen. Don is survived by his sister Mae Wall (George) brother Ben (Debbie), brother Raymond, sister-in-law Agnes and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, David and Suzanna Klassen his brother Wilfred and sister Frances Lemky. Born in Gladstone January 2, 1948, his family moved to Roseisle in 1959. Don started working at a young age moving to Winnipeg he worked at many different jobs from mechanic to road construction to trucking. April 1970 in Winnipeg he met his loving wife Lynda and November 21, 1970 they were wed. Leaving Winnipeg in 1975 he built his house on the family farm at Roseisle. Working for Maple Leaf construction and later on for Miami Welding. He started his own business in 1987, beginning with automobile and farm mechanical repair. He then started manufacturing an assortment of farm products (bale feeders, stock trailers). Developing outdoor hot water furnaces he renamed the business Legend and managed a very successful business. Nothing was more important to Don than his family. He loved his grandchildren and would always take time out of his extremely busy life for them. He was also very dedicated to his community, serving on the board for the community co-op and diligently helping to develop the park. Not only does this come as a devastating blow to our family but a big loss to the community. Our family deeply mourns the loss of a great husband, father, grandfather and businessman; you were loved deeply by us all. The skills and life lessons you taught us will never be forgotten. Thank-you Dad, we love you. Funeral service will be held from the Carman Pentecostal Church on Thursday, June 28 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Rob White and Pastor Dan Murphy officiating.
