TRAMPE 1943 - 2006 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our wife, mother, Oma, sister, and friend, at the age of 62, on June 26, 2006. After a courageous battle with cancer, she went home to be with Jesus. Rita will be deeply missed by her husband of 40 years, Klaus; son Bruce Trampe (Shelly); daughter Karen Chorney (Todd); grandchildren, Lindley, Jessica and Ashley Trampe, Matthew, Brandon and Jennifer Chorney; sister Brigitte Berkers (Ken Caterer); brothers, Hartmut and Gary Tippmann; numerous nieces and nephews and family friends. Rita was predeceased by her parents, Helmut and Maria Tippmann. Rita was born in Dalum, Germany and immigrated to Canada at a young age. Her faith was very important to her and she lived her life to the fullest, sharing her life with family and friends. She cherished any time with her grandchildren, who she loved so much. Rita loved to travel to numerous places around the world, especially trips south in their motorhome. Rita loved to paint, sing, go camping with friends, do needlework or just work in her yard at home. Anyone who knew Rita was blessed by her and will forever cherish the impact that she had made in their lives. A celebration of Rita's life will take place on Friday, June 30 at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Rita loved to help the less fortunate, therefore, in lieu of flowers, as per Rita's wishes, donations may be made to: Selkirk MCC Thrift Store, 511 Selkirk Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R2W 2M6. Thank you for the wonderful memories of a young girl in the summer of 1991. Thank you Aunt Rita. Visiting you was a lasting adventure. You made it something very special. I only remember you with much love in my heart. I know my mother misses you, Klaus and Erika very much! It's almost the end of another year since we lost you, June 26th will be 14 years. Another Mothers Day has passed without being able to give you a hug but I still think of you each and every day and still miss you terribly. I always feel you're around us and watching over us which does bring me comfort. Please especially keep a watchful eye on Dad in his battle with Cancer, he needs all the help he can get. It's been over 11 years without my Mom, I still think of her every single day. I finally took the time to get a memorial tattoo with her name on it. She was always an inspiration to me and even though she is gone she continues to inspire me. Not a day goes by that I don't think about you Oma, I miss you so much that words cannot describe. You were such a strong woman and I strive to be just a fraction of who you were each and every day. You are my inspiration for so many things and give me the strength to stand up for what I believe in. I pray to you each day and I love you so much Oma. I got thinking about Mom today and thought I would take a look at her obituary online. I couldn't believe that there were no tributes written in here for her. It's been over six years since her passing and not a day goes by without me thinking or talking about her. She was an inspiration to all that crossed her path.
