Date of Passing: Jun 27, 2006
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY T. PAWLOWICH (nee OBSZARSKI) It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of our Mom, grandmother and great-grandmother (Nana), on June 27, 2006 at Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg. She will be sadly missed, lovingly remembered and always in our hearts. She is survived by her son John A. Kruk and wife Adel; stepson Donald and wife Shirley; grandchildren, Kimberley (Steve), Kandace (Don), Keith (Betsy), Donna (Craig), Mitchell, Debbie (Ric), Sandra (Terry) and Bonnie (Dan); great-grandchildren, E.J. (Edward John), Kali Jo, Alexandra, Anna, Laura, Celia, Sydney, Kelly, Meghan, Kaitlyn, Laura, Michael and Peter; sisters, Annie, Elizabeth and Emily. Mary was predeceased by her husbands, Joseph Kruk in 1949, Nester Pawlowich in 1987; stepdaughter Irene and son-in-law Michael Labchuk and daughter-in-law Phyllis Kruk; parents, Charles and Josephine Obszarski; brothers, Joe, Charlie; sisters, Rosie, Millie and Helen. She loved getting together with family and friends. She loved gardening, dancing, fishing, curling and playing cards. She loved to sew for her children and grandchildren and was a seamstress most of her life. She was raised on the farm in Zbaraz, lived in Winnipeg, Toronto, Broad Valley and then to Fisher Branch, where both Mom and Dad started a clothing store. They built a new store in 1960 and it was wonderful to visit and to be able to see her beautiful garden with many flowers all around the house and store. Also with her sewing room full of projects yet to be completed... Mom always had family and friends in mind. They had many family and friends for various dinner celebrations at which time invariably they would play cards. September 1, 1999 mom moved into the Chalet and continued to sew, play cards and volunteer to various organizations. Then her health required her to move to Winnipeg in June of 2002, as a resident of Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg. She continued to sew and volunteered her help with sewing and enjoying bingo and cards. The family thanks the staff of Middlechurch Home for their care and kindness. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg would be appreciated. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4 at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Fisher Branch. Interment to follow at Broad Valley Cemetery.
