Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySADIE WIEBE (nee THIESSEN) From her devoted and loving husband, Sadie drifted into the arms of our Lord and Saviour on June 28, 2006. Sadie is survived by her husband Abe and her children, Val McCaffrey (Lawrie), Floyd (Karen) and Holly Kolevris (John) and grandchildren, Allyson, Andrea (Sousa), Chad, Stacey, Natasha and Denny. She also leaves great-grandchildren, Arielle, Mykyla, Tyler and Graham. She is left with sisters, Susie Hildebrand (Henry), Erna Hildebrand (Jake) and Evelyn Siemens (Henry). She was predeceased by her parents, Ben W. and Helen Thiessen, her sisters, Helen and Margaret-Rose, brother Ed and her beloved grandson T.J. Mom was proud of her heritage and was a devout Christian. She attended St. Vital United Church for 35 years and Beautiful Saviour Lutheran Church for 17 years. Her community service included serving as the President of the Mother's Auxiliary for Girl Guides and volunteering for various community fund raising campaigns. Her greatest legacy was providing her children with a Christian foundation and setting an example of marital devotion and love. Sadie was active in self-education for her whole life and loved to research many topics of interest to her. She was a talented dress designer for many years and has produced many radiant and happy brides with her workmanship. Some of her favourite memories were those of family gatherings and the many trips around the world that she shared with her husband. She demonstrated great compassion to anyone who was in need and often made soup to share with shut-ins. Even in her last months, while in hospital, she showed great concern for her roommates and family. She faced her great loss of physical abilities throughout her illness in a serene and dignified manner that left her family with lasting positive memories. The funeral service for Sadie will be held Tuesday, July 4, 1:00 p.m. at Morrow Gospel Church, 755 St. Anne's Rd., Winnipeg with burial at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be on July 3, 7:00-8:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere, Winnipeg . Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart Stroke Foundation or the T.J.
