PROFESSOR ROBERT (BOB) C. MADILL University of Manitoba, Faculty of Architecture February 14, 1952 June 7, 2006 Unexpectedly Professor Robert Madill passed away at his home on June 7, 2006. He was predeceased by one sister, Beverly Ann. He is survived by his parents, David and June, his daughter Kassandra Kirsten, his sister Davetta Stock (Ken), brother Kevin John, nephew Christopher and niece Danielle. Robert had been employed at the University of Manitoba for 22 years. During that time he touched the lives of many students as a teacher, a mentor and friend. In 1993 he received the Saunderson Award for Excellence in Teaching. His teaching style and passion for Art and Art History was un-paralleled. Robert received his Masters Degree from California State University and was working on his Doctoral Studies at the University of South Africa. He was also nominated to Phi Kappa Phi Honours Society at Louisiana State University in 1996. Robert was an Artist Member of the Winnipeg Art Gallery. A Professional Photographer and Camera Artist, his works have been exhibited in shows in Canada, the USA and Europe. His works have been purchased by many Galleries and are in Private Collections. He also belonged to the Consortium of Art and Architectural Historians and the Society of Canadian Artists (Toronto). A Funeral service is being planned by the family in British Columbia and Memorial service will be held in Winnipeg at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert's memory to Osteoporosis Canada. Good bye Uncle Bob , we are going to miss you.
