Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUBY (THERESA) MURPHY (nee MAYTWAYASHING) March 19, 1951 - June 30, 2006 On June 30, 2006, at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Ruby Murphy aged 55 years of Lake Manitoba First Nation. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband of 36 years (Robert) Lynn Murphy; her daughter Judy Murphy and her son Lee and wife Georgette Murphy; her grandchildren Dillon and Sean Murphy - Amber, Brayden and Hanna - Gabriel and Anganette Bird; her special niece Eva Jane McLean of Lake Manitoba; her in-laws Amy and Les Ryerse of Beausejour; her brothers Clifford and Eleanor Maytwayashing, Fred and Sandra Maytwayashing, Tom (Clemence) Paul and wife Rose; and one sister Sarah Choken (Bruce Walker); also many other relatives, nieces, nephews too numerous to mention; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Laverne Donna Murphy - Keith and Barb Murphy - Lyle, Larry, Darryl and Sharon, Pat and Carol, Kenny K. - Delwin and Sheldon - Linda Kirby, Dawn and Larry, Sandra, Sylvia, Carol, Elaine and Irma. Ruby was predeceased by her parents Patrice Maytwayashing on August 16, 1965, and Emma (Desjarlais) Maytwayashing on March 18, 1989, brothers Clarence, Walter, Douglas, Alfred and Louie; sisters Florence Paul on November 8, 1991, Cecilia Campeau on July 28, 1985; sister-in-law Marlene Maytwayashing on August 13, 1992; brothers-in-law Kenneth Choken on December 23, 1998 and George Swan on June 1, 1999; great nephew PJ Maytwayashing in October of 2003. A wake service will be held on Wednesday, July 5 at Fred and Sandra Maytwayashing residence on Lake Manitoba First Nation beginning at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 6 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church with Father Rene officiating. Interment to follow in the Lake Manitoba Reserve Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jonathan Campeau, Darryl Campeau, Paul Murphy, Robert (Bob) Lucier, Vincent Maytwayashing and Matthew Paul. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler Maytwayashing, Evan Maytwayashing, Uncle Frank (Roseanna) Desjarlais, Aunt Ida Monkman and family, the Delia Hanslip family, and all her friends; also her favourite nurse Warrener of the Eriksdale Hospital. The family would like to thank all the Eriksdale Hospital staff for all the care she received.
