Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLES WILLIAM STILL It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Dad, Bill Still, at the Selkirk General Hospital on July 1, 2006 at the age of 76 years. Remaining to cherish his memory are his son Gunnar (Cindy); daughter Gail and their mother Sessilja, with whom he shared a special connection, and his grandchildren, Christina and Christopher. He is survived by his brothers Gordon (Jean), Everett (Pat) and Gary; sister Myrna; sisters-in-law Beatrice, Lorraine, Yvonne and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his loving wife Jean; parents Jim and Bessie Still and brothers Ken, John, Denis and Ernest. Bill was born in Miniota, MB in 1929. He worked on the S.S. Kenora and at the fisheries for a number of years. He then worked as a Stationary Engineer at the Selkirk Mental Hospital for 25 years. Bill loved to travel and made many trips to the Yukon to search for gold with his brothers. Many a humorous tale was told of those adventures. Bill was a fine carpenter and loved to curl, play pool and crib with his many friends at the Arborg Legion, where he was a member. Bill was a kind-hearted person who was always ready to help out his friends. He also had a great sense of humour with a mischievous side. Bill's dearest memories included those years with his wife, Jean, whom he has been reunited with. Bill will be missed by his stepchildren Gail, Geraldine, Colin and their families. The family would like to extend their deepest thanks to the staff on the Medical Ward and to Drs. Racette and Speers. Special thanks to Ingi for her support and to Herman, Norm and Barney, for always being good friends. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, July 7, at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with The Ven. Rev. Godfrey Mawejje officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
