FLORENCE MARY FERNIE 1925 - 2006 With great sadness we announce the passing of Florence Fernie on June 30, 2006 at Riverview Health Centre. Florence was predeceased by her husband William and parents, Mary and David Watson. Left to mourn her passing are her son William (Janice), daughter Carol, grandson Michael (Amber), and older sister Patricia. In her role as sister, wife, mother and grandmother, she was always generous in her support and encouragement of her family. She had a special place in her heart for her grandson Michael and was very proud of his accomplishments. Florence lived a good portion of her life in the city of Vancouver. She loved her west end apartment and spent many happy hours walking the seawall at English Bay or visiting the many quiet spots in Stanley Park. Her family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Grace Hospital, the support of the Palliative Care Program and the extraordinary care provided to her by the staff of 3E-Wing at the Riverview Health Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations in Florence's name can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society. A viewing will be held on Friday, July 7 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service (1:30 p.m.) at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway. Thomson Funeral Home 669 Broadway - 783-7211
