MARIO SILLA Peacefully, on Wednesday, July 5, 2006, with his family by his side, Mario Silla passed away. He was born on February 27, 1921 in Scanno, Province of L'Aquila, Italy. He was predeceased by his parents and his two brothers, Concezio and Eustachio. He leaves to mourn his wife, Angela; son Nunzio (Maria); grandchildren Angela and Francesca; sisters-in-law Iolanda Macario, Fernanda Augellone, Mafalda Fusco and brothers-in-law Primo Augellone and Teodoro Fusco as well as many nieces and nephews. Mario worked in France for eight years and in 1958, he immigrated to Canada along with his wife and son. He also worked many years until his retirement at Coldstream Products, after which he worked diligently tending his garden, raising his grandchildren and enjoying his family. Pallbearers will be Rossano Di Nicola, Rossano Di Nicola Jr., Reno Augellone, Mario Di Pietro, Giuseppe Cellitti and Brian Benedictson. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 10, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 510 River Avenue, with Mass of Christian Burial commencing at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Sam Argenziano, officiating. Entombment will follow at Eternal Memories Mausoleum, at Waverley Memorial Gardens at 1501 Waverley Street.
