Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN GRAHAM January 21, 1927 - July 2, 2006 On Sunday, July 2nd, peacefully, and free from pain, Jean Gray Graham's earthly body went to sleep as her soul soared to the arms of her waiting family at the side of God. She is now reunited with her parents Robert and Jessie Graham; along with her brothers, sisters and siblings in law : Robert Graham; Jessie and Max Pilous; Margaret and Joseph Peary; William Colpitts; Susan and John Gavin; William Graham; Douglas and Josephine Graham; Andrew Burt Graham; George Hagman. Her two remaining sisters, Charlotte (Dot) Colpitts and Georgina (Ina) Hagman will miss her dearly, as will her sister-in-law, Evelyn Graham; and Jean's many nieces and nephews. Among her nieces, a special bond existed with Patricia Pilous. They were only two years apart, and they often referred to themselves as twins . The three Graham sisters along with Pat shared many chatty lunches together especially at Eatons! After Charlotte wasn't able to join them, Pat, Jean and Ina became the three musketeers . They enjoyed their times together, filling Dot in via phone, and still meeting for special occasions at big sister's. All were a great support and comfort to each other; especially during Jean's illness. Jean had a very strong faith and knew that her life, and all that came with it, were a gift from God. Even in her illness, she found comfort in knowing that He was in charge. She was a member of Sparling United Church, as well as the Salvation Army. Jean was a strong willed, proud lady, who loved her independence. She also loved people and found her perfect vocation as receptionist, dealing with the public, and enjoyed a lengthy career with Robinson Little and then at the Winnipeg Art Gallery. Jean travelled to many places, and regaled us with numerous stories of her adventures especially after visiting her brother and his family in England. She made friends easily and had many people in her life. She especially enjoyed many years of fun and friendships at her former residence at 1590 Henderson Highway. In keeping with Jean's wishes cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date. We wish to thank the kind caregivers at Deer Lodge Centre (Lodge 6 West) and the doctors and nurses at St. Boniface Hospital. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Manitoba Branch, 730 Taylor Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3M 2K8 or a charity of your choice.
