(Ted) Taylor on Thursday, July 6, 2006, at the age of 81 years, at the St. Boniface General Hospital in Winnipeg. Ted is survived by Margaret, his loving wife of 61 years; their four children, Eleanor McMurchy (Jim), Edward (Lynda), Donna Buskell (Ken), Richard (Marlene); 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother Gerry (Joyce) of Colorado and their family. He was predeceased by his parents, Ernest E. Taylor and Nellie Hallett. Following his service overseas, Ted was an employee of Winnipeg Electric then the Manitoba Hydro, where he was fondly known to three generations as Santa Claus. Ted enjoyed over 25 years of retirement, the majority of those years as a resident of Winnipeg Beach, where he was very active within the community and proud to be a life member of the Winnipeg Beach Legion Branch 61. In accordance with Ted's wishes, a Legion ceremony and a Celebration of Ted's Life will be held on Monday, July 10 at 1:30 p.m. in the Winnipeg Beach Legion Hall, Winnipeg Beach, MB. Our family wishes to thank Rev. Judy Limpright, Winnipeg Beach United Church, for her pastoral support at this difficult time; Dr. Kevin Coates for his constant care and compassion; the staff of 6A South, to the Winnipeg Beach Legion Branch 61 Members; and the Ladies Auxiliary for their part in Ted's service. Flowers are gratefully declined. If desired, a donation may be made to a charity of one's choice. Thanks for all the years of your love, guidance and support. Dear {auntie} Mac, Eleanor, Ed, Lynda, Donna and Rick . I am so sorry for your loss. Uncle Ted was always so full of life and never failed to light up a room. One thing my wife Susan always remarked to me was what beautiful eyes he had. I'll always have many wonderful memories of uncle Ted. With deepest sympathy, Roger and Susan Churko - Posted by: Roger and Susan Churko (Friend) on: Jul 09, 2006
