MARGARETHA (MARGE) FIRTH Marge died peacefully on Thursday, July 6, 2006 at The General at the age of 90. Marge was predeceased by her parents Henry Sawatzky and Maria Esau, husband Frank, and siblings Jake S. (Dorothy), John, Henry, Dick, Ed and Mary (Boggs). She is survived by son Will, daughter-in-law Andrea, grandsons Jamie and Nicholas, siblings Tena, Pete, and Jacob Esau, Lena (Doug) Flemming, in-laws Norma and Lil, many nieces and nephews, and friends made throughout her life. Marge worked hard all her life and enjoyed many volunteer associations and activities, especially with St. John's Ambulance and Canadian Daughters' League, in particular with the Drill Team. She willingly gave of her time and skills in handwork to help others, especially where she saw injustice. Marge requested cremation. Service will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 11 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street. Long allergic to flowers and supportive of organizations doing good works, Marge recently asked that donations be made to Hospice Palliative Care Manitoba, 2109 Portage Ave, Winnipeg, R3J 0L3.
