EVA PICHURSKI Eva Pichurski passed away at the age of 89 years on July 5, 2006, at her home, with the support of family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Walter (1990) and her sister Suzanne. She is survived by her sisters, Annie of West Vancouver, BC, and Helen of Toronto, ON, and her brother Paul of Stonewall, MB. She will be dearly remembered by her children, Olga of Pisco, Peru, John (Pat) of Regina, SK, Ruth, Judy of Winnipeg, Bill (Bev) of Devon, AB and Joanne (Doug) of Winnipeg; by her grandchildren, Laura (Dennis), Paul (Becky), Chris, Lydia, Anna, Michael, Jake, Jon, Erin, Kim, Shannon and by her great-grandchildren, Emma, Amanda, Caden and Coral. Eva came to Canada with her family in 1936 and settled in Stonewall, MB. She married Walter in 1940 and they farmed in the Stonewall area until 1949 when they moved to Dacotah, MB. In 1968 they moved to Lac du Bonnet, MB and later lived in Teulon, MB. Eva and Walter celebrated their 50th anniversary in June of 1990. In 1991, Eva moved to Winnipeg. Eva was a hard working woman devoted to her family, friends and home. She loved to garden and spent many hours tending her flowers and plants. She had a keen interest in learning and a quiet understanding manner with people. Eva liked to spend time in Bible study and had the Bible hope of living on a paradise earth. The family wishes to thank the Palliative Care nurses for their care and support, especially Louise and the kind nurses at the Grace Hospital. Also special thanks to Ruth for her care of Mother in her declining years. Memorial service to be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 325 Wallasey Street on Monday, July 10 at 2:00 p.m. Donations in memory of Eva may be made to the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, Palliative Care Program, St. Boniface General Hospital, A8024-409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6. MacKenzie Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
