GAIL DODGE-THOMAS (nee FRASER) (Taxi Lady) Passed away peacefully, Sunday, July 9, 2006. Gail was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was a beloved sister of Brian (Audrey), Wayne, and Janet (Dollard), and nephew Joe. A mother and father figure to her five children, Cathy, Jo-Ann, Dale, (Kevin), Sandy, and Andy (Jennifer). Gail was delighted to have her five grandchildren in her life, Christina, Sean, Samantha, Amber, and Logan. She was blessed with two great-grandchildren Vincent and Conner. Gail was known as Taxi Lady to her friends and family. This was a nickname she earned by her willingness to get you where you needed to go in life whether it required a car or not. Gail always welcomed the many friends of her children into her home and heart. She was very community minded. She was a Girl Guide Leader and a Scoutmaster to her own kids and to many others. Gail worked throughout her life in aid of others. Through her role as a Counselor for Welfare and in later years as a Home Care Worker, she showed much compassion and caring for those around her. An accomplished Cb'er from the 70s through the 90s, she belonged to many clubs; had lots of fun; and made many friends along the way. May our combined good thoughts carry you on your new journey. 3's and 8's. We love you Mom. Private service has been held per Gail's wishes. Interment will take place at a later time and date. Our family wishes to thank the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital Pallative Care Ward for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Gail's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society. Family Owned and Operated KNYSH FUNERAL CHAPEL 582-0973
