Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCARL ALEXANDER BROOKS Surrounded by his family, Carl Alexander Brooks went to join the Lord and into a well deserved peace July 10, 2006, just shy of his 75th birthday. He will be greatly missed by wife, Doreen with whom he had recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. Also left to cherish his memory is son Dean; daughters, Karen Andrusiek (Kevin), Debbie Shumski (Bruce), Cathy Glen (David). Carl was blessed with nine grandchildren and had a special bond with each. The lives of Jennifer, Cristal, Kyle, Chris, Alyssa, Ryan, Curtis, Steven and Lauren have forever been enhanced by having the chance to know and enjoy the company of grandpa. Carl's brother Murray (Joyce) Brooks and sister Lorna (Omar) Bilokury also share in the sorrow of his passing along with many nephews and nieces. Carl was born in Saskatchewan, July 14, 1931. He moved to Manitoba shortly after and has created a special life here ever since. He was an employee of TransCanada Airlines for over 30 years prior to retirement in 1985 and was very proud of this accomplishment. Family was Carl's first passion and he was always there to provide guidance to all. Recently, Carl went through many challenges which he met with a stubbornness we had become accustomed to. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Diabetes or Kidney Foundation. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 15, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue Winnipeg, MB at 12:30 p.m. Rest well Grandpa, you did a great job!!!
