LIZA (BETTY) KEOUGH (nee HERGESHEIMER) Liza (Nana), in her 91st year, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at Concordia Place. Liza, a very special caring Mom, is survived by her son Allan, Jr (Suzanne); daughter Maureen (James); grandchildren Tracey, Chris, Michael, Sean, Chantal and Michelle; eight great-grandchildren; brother Wally (Ruth); along with numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her husband Allan, Sr; brothers, John, Val and Phil; sisters, Kate, Teenie, Mary and Chris. Mom has been a resident of Elmwood / East Kildonan and a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church for all her life. Visitation will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, July 13 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street and at the church one half hour prior to the service. The family invites you to a celebration of Liza's life at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 14 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 708 McCalman Avenue at Grey Street with Pastor Kruesel officiating. Interment Elmwood Cemetery. If friends so desire donations may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2. Thanks to the nursing staff and aides on the 3rd floor Concordia Place for their care of Mom over the past four years. We know that Mom is finally free from the cruelty of Alzheimer's disease.
