Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLES WAYNE TURNER November 5, 1945 July 11, 2006 Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, Wayne passed away at Grace General Hospital at the age of 60 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Lena and Jack Turner, as well as by his sister Ivy Castle. Surviving are his wife Monica; daughters, Tracy Leggero (Jim), Julie Turner (Bob), Monica's daughter Nicole; beloved grand-children, Turner, Evan and Skylar; sister Shirley Nichol; brother Les (Diane); as well as numerous nieces and nephews; and Jean, his first wife. Wayne was born in Killarney, MB, the youngest child of Lena and Jack Turner. He took his early schooling in Killarney and post secondary at Red River Community College. He eventually settled in Winnipeg where he co-founded Mid Continental Pump Supply, a business with which he was actively involved until the time of his death. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 14 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. with Rev. Gordon Dixon presiding. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 9A9, or a charity of your choice. The family would like to extend grateful thanks to the staff of 3 North at Grace General Hospital for their loving care especially near the end.
