ONESIME LAMBERT It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Onésime Lambert on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at St. Pierre de Salaberry Hospital, with his family by his side. Onésime was 91 and he was predeceased by his first wife Alma; his son Georges and grandson Jean-Claude Guénette, as well as his brothers, Origène, Ulysses, Paul and his sisters, Philomène, Florence and Marie. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Annette and his nine children, Laurent (Lucie). Thérèse (Armand deceased), Lucienne (Jacques), Denise (Gérard and Lucien both deceased), Lise (Jean), Benoit (Lorraine), Levis (Doreen), Marcel (Pat) and Rachel (Patrick), as well as daughter-in-law Rita Charette; his sisters, Bernadette Ruest and Sister Germaine Lambert. Onésime was born October 2, 1914 in St. Malo, MB. He was a jack-of-all-trades, working at numerous jobs but mostly he was employed at the St. Malo Co-op where he worked as Manager for many years. Through his work, Onésime met many people and made many friends. He was above all a great dad and friend to all of his children and he was happiest when surrounded by his family. Very close to his heart was his youngest grandson of two years, Ryan who called him Pépère Nesime. Onésime was always available to lend a helping hand and tell his sons how to do different projects. He will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank the staff at the Chalet Malouin as well as the staff at the de Salaberry Hospital for the great care and understanding during the last three weeks of Onésime's life. Funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Guy Lavallée in the St. Malo Roman Catholic Church in St. Malo, MB on Friday, July 14 at 11:00 a.m. Prayer service will take place one half hour prior to the funeral at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the St. Malo Parish cemetery. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
