He is survived by his wife Eva; his sisters, Jean and Lois; children, Greg (Susan), Carol (Paul) and Kim; and grandchildren, Isaura, Kelsey and Ian; as well as his sister-in-law Mary; and brother-in-law Walter and many nieces, nephews and cousins. His parents, Victor and Rena Clark predeceased him. Cy was born in Artland, SK. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force 427 Lions Squadron from 1942 to 1946 as an airplane mechanic. While stationed in RAF Leeming North Yorkshire, England, he worked on Lancaster Bombers. After the war, Cy worked as a machinist, ending his career at Dynamic Machine Corp. upon retirement in 1988. Cy was always fixing, building or inventing something, which earned him the title of Mr. Fixit within the neighbourhood. He had the ability to take four non-working lawn mowers and turn them into one that did. He was a master of recycling and composting long before it was fashionable. Cy was an avid reader and whenever he found an anecdote or a joke that caught his interest, he would write it down in his pocket notebook to amuse others later. Cy was an active member of the Community of Christ Winnipeg congregation where he served as an Elder until his Superannuation from the priesthood on June 30, 1994. The family would like to thank the staff at Fred Douglas Lodge for their patience and support while Cy was in their care for the past two and one half years. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers if friends so desire, donations can be made to The Movement Centre of Manitoba Inc., 1646 Henderson Hwy., Winnipeg, MB R2G 1N7 or the Cerebral Palsy Association, 105-500 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2E3 or a charity of your choice.
