ELSIE (ELIZABETH) KNUDSON (nee KERRY) Peacefully, at Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga, ON, on Sunday, July 9, 2006, in her 84th year. Born in Cook's Creek, MB, she lived most of her life in Winnipeg, before moving to Kelowna, BC and most recently to Mississauga, ON to be close to her son Richard, his wife Wilmarie and two grandsons, Philip and Michael. Elsie is also survived by her sister Jean Sadoway of Ottawa ON, and her niece Marsha Nininger and family of Ottawa, ON. She will lovingly be remembered by her stepson Barry Knudson and family of Winnipeg, MB, also by Marie Olevea, Geanene Anderson and Yvonne Kraemer, and longtime family friend Peter Karpa. Elsie was predeceased by her husband Harold in 1977, father Sam Kerry in 1977 and mother Jessie Kerry in 1987. Elsie Knudson was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She loved being a homemaker, gardening, singing, being in the outdoors and reading. She was a member of St. Gerrard's Parish in Winnipeg for many years as well as being active with the Legion of Mary. Friends were received at the Neweduk Funeral Home - Mississauga Chapel , 1981 Dundas St. W., (one block East of Erin Mills Parkway) on Tuesday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, July 12 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. Cremation. Interment of cremated remains will be held at Sunnyside Cemetery, in Cook's Creek, MB, in August, 2006.
