Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM HOMENIUK April 11, 1925 July 10, 2006 Peacefully, on Monday, July 10, 2006, William Bill Homeniuk passed away at the St. Boniface General Hospital. Bill is survived by his wife of nearly 59 years, Anne, son Michael, daughter-in-law Judy, granddaughter Nicole, grandson David, and special buddy Squirt. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Magdalena; his brother Nicholas and his sister Mary. While Bill worked his entire career as a Journeyman Electrician, his first love was woodworking. His skills were exceptional and wide-ranging. He could, and has, crafted fine furniture, grandfather clocks, remodeled kitchens and done complete home renovations. Bill was extremely generous with his time and talents, spending many evenings and weekends renovating and building for family and friends. If you asked for help, Bill was there. He also loved his intarsia projects, creating beautiful works of art. Bill was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family, and was devoted to them. He was especially proud of Nicole and David and encouraged them in everything they did. We will all miss him very much. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Boniface General Hospital for their excellent care and compassion. We would especially like to thank Dr. Craig Hildahl, who was always there for Bill. At Bill's request, cremation has taken place and a private family service was held. If friends so desire, donations in Bill's memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society. VICHNAYA PAMYAT CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044

I worked with Bill in Electrical Maintenance at (then), Winnipeg International Airport. We worked on many projects together, having fun and I learned a lot from Bill. Bill was a very, realistic person, who was a real thinker. Bill believed in "Working Smarter - not Harder". He was definitely, one the good ol' boys you used to find on the job! Miss you and see you later! - Posted by: Randy Fisher (Former working friend) on: May 14, 2020
