BEN F. LOEWEN Ben F. Loewen, aged 89, passed away peacefully at the MSA Hospital in Abbotsford, BC on July 7, 2006. He was predeceased by his first wife Alvina in 1993, second wife Tina in 2001 and grandson Craig Loewen in 1981. Ben is survived by his daughters, Grace Enns (Pete) and Lucille Kliewer (Reg); his son Larry Loewen (Geri); seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Margaret Penner, Edna Reimer (Bill), Anne Loewen, Eileen Fast (George); and his brothers, George Loewen (Margaret) and Herman Loewen (Doris). Dad and his two brothers took over the Loewen Chev Olds dealership in Steinbach from their father, P. T. Loewen and later sold his interest in 1966. He was involved for many years as Fire Chief of the Steinbach Volunteer Fire Brigade. In 1967 he moved with our Mother to Abbotsford BC, where he lived until his death. He trusted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was faithful and active in his church, choir ministries and missions. Funeral services were held at Grace Church, Abbotsford, BC on July 11.
