ALINE MANAIGRE (nee GIRARD) April 19, 1947 - July 14, 2006 After a courageous and hard fought battle, our wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away on July 14, 2006 at the Riverview Health Centre. Left to forever cherish her memory are husband of 38 years, Gilles; children, Gisèle (Wayne) DeKoninck, Raynald, Gaétane, Robert (Natalie Gosselin) and precious grandson Cole Bonhomme DeKoninck. Aline is also survived by brothers and sisters, Thérèse (Jacques) Murray, Denis (Lynne), Sr. Yvette, S.P., Gilbert (Yvette), Estelle (Normand) Rivard, Louis and Benoit (Janine), as well as her brothers and sisters-in-law, Adèle, Germain (Colette), Bernard (Rose-Marie), Lionel (Gloria), Raymond (Sharon), Evelyne, Rose-Marie (John), numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Mom was born and raised in Elie and after numerous years as a teacher, devoted her life to the family and the farm in Lorette. Mom took great pride in everything she did, especially her garden and her yard. She was a hard worker, who never gave up and never complained. Mom was a committed volunteer with numerous committees and organizations. She was responsible for the upstart of the ringette program in Lorette. Spending time with family and friends was always special to her. We wish to express our thanks to Melissa and Rebecca at CancerCare Manitoba, as well as Dr. Marcelo Garcia and Dr. Jennifer Ballen and staff on 3E at Riverview Health Centre for the care and compassion they gave to our Mom. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Room ON1160, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Prayers will be held on Monday, July 17 at 7:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, July 18 at 10:30 a.m. at the Notre-Dame-de-la-Miséricorde Roman Catholic Church in Lorette, MB.
