LILIAN GRACE FINCH February 14, 1916 - July 13, 2006 On Thursday, July 13, 2006, Lilian Grace Finch passed away peacefully, at the age of 90 years, at Misericordia Place. Lilian is survived and lovingly remembered by her sister Evelyn Doyle of Winnipeg and by her brother Frederick Finch of Thunder Bay, ON. Lilian is also survived by her nieces Audrey Love and her husband Neil and Patricia Finch of Thunder Bay and by her nephew Robert Doyle and his wife Raymonde of Winnipeg. She will be fondly remembered by her great-nieces and nephew Kristin (David) Reguly, Paul Love, Kerri (Scot) Dawson, and by Andrea and Patricia Doyle. Lilian was predeceased by her father James Robert Finch in 1966 and by her mother Dorothy Maud Finch in 1994. Lilian will be remembered for her devotion to her family and her love of life which she shared with others, that centred around her home. She was always a devoted employee, first of Hart Battery and later, of ESB Canada Limited. Lilian enjoyed being a member of St. John's Cathedral and St. John's Chapter No. 18, Order of the Eastern Star, where she was a Past Worthy Matron. At the time of her passing, Lilian was affiliated with Fort Garry Chapter No. 17. The family wishes to thank the Nickel family and Pearl and Sylvia of Home Care, for their many efforts in allowing Lilian to fulfill her wish of remaining in her home as long as possible. The members of Lilian's family also wish to express their appreciation to the Rev. Canon Ann Goodwin and those who assist her in her ministry for their ongoing support which they provided to Lilian. The family also wishes to express its sincere gratitude to Dr. M. Jain and the wonderful nurses and health care aides at Misericordia Health Centre C2, and Misericordia Place MP3 for their care and compassion. Funeral Eucharist Service will be held at St. John's Cathedral (Anglican), 135 Anderson Ave. on Wednesday, July 19 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Canon Ann Goodwin officiating. Interment in Old Kildonan Cemetery. Reception to follow in the John West Hall of St. John's Cathedral. Thomson Funeral Chapels - 669 Broadway - 783- 7211
