ANNE KROEKER (nee POLISCHUK) It is with a most profound sadness that we announce the loss of Anne Kroeker. On Saturday, July 15, 2006 at Portage District General Hospital, Anne passed away at the age of 76 years. Anne is lovingly remembered by John, her husband of over 50 years, her sons Robert and Gerry (Sydney), her sister Alice Unrau, her brother Paul Polischuk (Claudia), her lifelong friend (Auntie) Lorraine Brazil, her dear niece Lisa Duffy and many other wonderful nieces, nephews and friends. Born in Drozdnie, Poland, she immigrated to Canada as a young girl weeks before the onset of The Second World War in July of 1939. Anne was a person possessed of tremendous energy, a boundless love of life and a great tee shot. Golf was her passion and she played the game with great skill until a mere few weeks before her passing. To all of us who loved and knew her, she will be deeply missed. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 20, 11:00 a.m., at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel, 56 Royal Rd. South, in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. Viewing will be held prior to the memorial service from 10:00 a.m. on.
