ALBERT (BUD) JAMES ANDREWS It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Albert (Bud) James Andrews with his loving family by his side. He fought a hard and courageous battle with cancer. Left to mourn his memory are his beloved wife Laura (nee Hanslip) of 46 years; daughter Cheryl (Emil), grandchildren, Carissa and Emil Jr.; sons, Kevin, Daryl (Delaina), grandchildren, Aneesa, Brielle and Curtis; granddaughter Nicole and her mom Kim; his sisters, Eileen, Connie, Myrtle (Fred); brothers, George and Russ and brother-in-law Dick Street, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He will also be remembered by the Hanslip family. Predeceased by his parents, Fred and Agnes, and sister Freida. Bud was born on October 24, 1935 in Eriksdale. He worked at McCabe Grain for a number of years before moving on to Imperial Seed where he worked until ill health forced him to retire. After more treatments he went to volunteer as a driver for Winnipeg Harvest where he met many new friends. Bud was a very strong willed person. He believed in getting things done promptly, not just talking about it. Bud loved spending time with his grandchildren. Another one of his passions was gardening and being in the great outdoors. He was an avid hunter, receiving a few big game trophies. A big smile was always noticed on his face on Fridays as this was time to header down #6 highway to Eriksdale. Bud, you are deeply missed by your family and friends. We would like to thank Seven Oaks Hospital and the paramedics for their excellent care and response. Thanks to Palliative Care nurse Tammy Lee for her compassion and support. Cremation has taken place with a private family inurnment at a later date. A memorial service celebrating Bud's life will be held on Friday, July 21 at 1:00 pm. at Eriksdale Recreation Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Albert's memory to Seven Oaks Hospital Foundation, 2300 McPhillips St., Winnipeg, MB R2N 3M3. Grandpa, we're enjoying your peas and carrots Forever Loved
