JOHN SAWATZKY John Sawatzky aged 86 years of Winnipeg, MB and formerly of Winnipeg Beach, MB and Silberfeld, MB passed away at his residence on July 15, 2006. John is lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Lena; his daughter Susie (Bill) Neufeld; sons, John, Jake (Sue), Cornie (Mary), Henry (Brenda); stepdaughters, Linda (Ken) Walker, Debbie (Doug) Small; 12 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren. John Sawatzky was predeceased by his first wife Susie and also by one great-grandchild Brianna. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 20 at 2:00 p.m. from the Sommerfeld Mennonite Church in Altona, MB with interment to follow in the Altona Cemetery. Viewing will be at Wiebe Funeral Home Altona Ltd. in Altona on Wednesday, July 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and at the church prior to the service.
