JUNE COWAN (nee FOSSAY) 1930 - 2006 Peacefully on July 17, 2006 at the Grace Hospital, June passed away. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 37 years, Alva; her daughter, Anna-Kristine (James) Marshall; their children, Kegan, Eric, Justin, Gunnar, Willow, her son Kenneth (special friend Susie). June was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Anna, and her brothers, Kenneth, Norris, Earl and Harold. Family was very important to June and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. June was proud of her Norwegian heritage and loved to tell stories and reminisce about the past. She had a great memory when it came to history and thought it was important to remember and share those stories. June loved to spoil her pets, spend time gardening, do needlework and paint folk-art ornaments. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 22, at 1:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Avenue (Aubrey Street entrance). Private family interment will take place at the Bethlehem Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made in her name to the Bethlehem Memorial Gardens c/o Janice Shirtliffe, Box 327, Elie, MB ROH OHO to be put towards the planting of trees in her memory.
