FRIEDA NEUMANN (SIEWERT)

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRIEDA NEUMANN (nee SIEWERT) August 9, 1915 - July 18, 2006 Peacefully after a long illness, at the Charleswood Care Centre at the age of 90 years, our beloved mom, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend was called home to her Heavenly Father. Remaining to forever cherish her memory are her husband, Artur; children: daughter Linda (Wally); sons, Fred, Luke (Claire); grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as numerous stepchildren and their families. Frieda is also survived by her sister Lydia of Germany and brother Armin (Mary) of Ontario. She was predeceased by her eldest son Arndt Malzahn in 1971, husbands, Willi Malzahn in 1961, Ewald Lepholtz in 1985; two brothers and three sisters. Frieda was born in Russia in 1915 and was married to Willi Malzahn on January 1, 1936 in Poland. In 1949 they immigrated to Canada and settled in Saskatchewan with their four children. In 1953 the family moved to Winnipeg. After Willi's passing in 1961, she married Ewald Lepholtz in 1963. After Ewald's death in 1985, mom married Artur Neumann in 1993. As a long faithful member of Mission Baptist Church, Frieda served in the ladies ministry in her early years. Mom was a generous giver and she loved to cook and serve family and friends. Frieda was a care giver who looked after her mother and second husband until they passed away. Many thanks to Doctors, Heather and Sheila Domke for their excellent care all these many years. Funeral service will be held at Mission Baptist Church, 771 Sargent Ave., on Friday, July 21 at 11:00 a.m. with viewing an hour prior to the service. There will a luncheon to follow immediately after the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial contributions can be made to India Foundation, in care of Mission Baptist Church.
