VICTORIA HEIM It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Victoria Heim on July 2, 2006 at the age of 74. Victoria will be lovingly remembered by her husband Roland; daughters, Ingrid (Ingo) and Rita (Bill); grandchildren: Anita (Steve), Jason, Carsten, Matthew; great-grandchild Cyla; brothers and sisters: Fred (Emma), Trudy (Leo), Hilda (Horst), Harold and Kathy (Bob). Victoria was eldest born to Alida and Theodor Lentz on August 12, 1931 in Fachria, Romania. During the Second World War, her family left to reside in Austria, then later in Germany. In 1950 at the age of 19, Victoria and her family moved to Canada. There she met and married an old childhood friend Roland. They have been happily married for over 54 years. They farmed in Moosehorn for four years then finally settled in Winnipeg where they made their home. Victoria was a truly caring and spiritual soul with an outgoing personality. She loved her family, gardening, classical music, making new friends and was especially fond of all animals. She was hardworking, ambitious and proud. Victoria always had compassion for those less fortunate. The family would like to thank the Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home staff for their dedication and loving care. Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy #1 E at Navin Rd. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB, R2L 1X3 in her remembrance.
