Mother worked at various jobs over the years. She worked at the Fisher River Elementary School as a teachers aide, receiving her training in The Pas, Manitoba. Then as a clerk and post master at Dallas General Store. Her most recent was for Koostatak Post Office prior to her retirement. Mother loved music. She loved playing her piano and guitar and sometimes played a tune on her violin. Singing was also a favorite of hers, especially gospel songs. I want no rites in a gloom filled room, Why cry for a soul set free. Miss me a little, but not too long, And not with your head bowed low, Remember the love that we once shared. Miss me but let me go. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
