Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPEGGY VOKEY September 17, 1918 - July 17, 2006 It is with sadness the family of Peggy Vokey shares the news of her passing. Peggy was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt and friend. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Elaine (Richard); sons, Harold (Dawn) and Barry (Allison); grandchildren, great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Bette, Ethel and Jen (Jim) and nieces and nephews. The family extends their sincere thanks to the staff of Middlechurch Home, Dr. Haligowski and Dr. C. Fernando, for their care and kindness. If family and friends so desire donations can be made to either Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, 280 Balderstone Rd., West St. Paul, MB R4A 4A6, or Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2, or another charity of one's choice. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service is planned for August 22 at Chapel Lawn at 12:30 p.m. A longer obituary notice will follow with more details. I was looking for Elaine and came across Mrs Vokey's obit. I remember fun times in their house almost next to Fort Rouge School. Mrs. V. & my Mom, Alma Kerr were friends. I am on Facebook under Linda Strange if Elaine would like to say hello ( if she remembers me). I just received a photo from Leonard Mark of us 3 together from 1949.
