IRENE MICHON (nee DUMONT) May 8, 1922 - July 20, 2006 Forever in our Hearts Peacefully, surrounded by her family, Irène departed this earth to join her Saviour. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 58 years Léo; children, Lorraine (Ed), Claude (Kathleen), Eveline (Roland), Robert (Elaine), Michèle (René), Nicole (Jim), Colette (Steve), Donald (Teena); 20 grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; as well as her sisters, Yvonne Dumont, Thérèse Brodeur, Annette Cormier, and Laurette Durand. Irène was predeceased by her two brothers, Antoine and Emile; as well as four sisters, Antoinette Leveque, Alice Dumont, Marguerite Lapointe and Claire Lagassé. Our lives and memories of our Mother and Mémère are filled with many precious times we shared as a family. Mom treasured our many family gatherings and potluck dinners, as well as her numerous trips and family holidays. You could always be sure that your birthday or anniversary card would arrive on the exact day it was supposed to. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 24 at La Cathédrale de Saint Boniface, 190 av de la Cathédrale. A private interment will be held at a later date.
