SYLVESTER CHMURA March 24, 1930 - July 11, 2006 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sylvester Chmura our beloved husband, father and grandfather on July 11, 2006 at the age of 76 in his home in Tolstoi, MB. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 52 years, Lillian; his children, Don, Marg (Don), son-in-law Greg (Lucille); grandsons, Brad (Jen), Andrew (Erin), Adam, Ken Jr., Jake, Geoff and Matthew. Syl was predeceased by his daughter Ginny. Syl and Lil lived in St. James before retiring from Rothmans and moving to their piece of heaven in Tolstoi, in 1993. Syl was proudly a 4th degree Knight and a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. In his retirement he enjoyed his yard and garden and always shared in it's bounty. They went for coffee every morning to the Can-Am corner where they made many good friends as part of the infamous coffee gang . The family would like to send a special thanks to Andy and Marilyn Hall and for the prayers and support shown by family and friends. Funeral services have been held. Pallbearers were his seven grandsons.
