VERN BLACKWELL Mr. Vern Blackwell of Virden, beloved husband of Gladys, passed away at the Virden Hospital on Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at the age of 82 years. A memorial service for family and friends was held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332 - 8th Street, Brandon, on Monday, July 10 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Gordon Stevenson officiating. A private interment service followed at Rosewood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, donations in memory of Vern may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 415 - 1st Street, Brandon, MB R7A 2W8 or to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 727B - 10th Street, Brandon, MB R7A 4G7.
