GLADYS MAUD SCURFIELD (BARNES) Peacefully on July 18, 2006 with her family at her side, Gladys slipped away. She will be sadly missed by her husband Bill; they had been married for 65+ years. Gladys was born in Surrey, England on November 1, 1918 and married Bill on December 27, 1940 in England and then immigrated to Canada as a war bride in 1944. She will be sadly missed by her three children, Wendy (Ray) Keuling, Dave (Margaret) and Rick (Tracey). Her grand-children were very special to their Nana: Shan (Corey) Mann and Scott (Christine) Keuling; Leanne (Bob) Lawrie; Wendy (Brad) and Allan (Keri); Teresa (Gary) and Mike; and her five great-grandchildren, Brendan, Devin, Jordie, Amanda and Bode. Gladys is survived by one sister Wyn Hazelgrove; and many nieces and nephews, both in England and Canada. Gladys was a kind and gentle Mom and loved to spend time with her children and grand-children. She loved to meet her friends at Eatons for lunch and go bowling. She was a member of the Fireman's Ladies Auxiliary and a lifetime member of Streamliners. A private graveside memorial service has been held. Flowers are gratefully declined; donations can be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Society, 10 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
