JOYCE EVELYN NUNN (nee DINSDALE) It is with deepest sorrow that our family announces the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother on Saturday, July 15, 2006 at the Oakview Extendicare Home in Winnipeg. Leaving to mourn is her son Gary (Linda); grandchildren, Andrew and Elizabeth (Darby) Hinton; great-granddaughter Baillie Hinton of Winnipeg; sisters, Doreen Dinsdale of Sheffield, England and Betty (Doug) Rowan and family of Winnipeg. Mum was born on June 23, 1925 in Sheffield, England. She was predeceased by her loving husband Fred, and brother Jack Dinsdale of Sheffield, England. Joyce met Fred when he was overseas during the Second World War. They married in Sheffield (1944) and Joyce came to Canada (1945) as a war bride. They settled in Shoal Lake, MB before coming to Winnipeg (1953). They returned to Shoal Lake to farm in 1970 then retired to Carberry. After two years in Wellington, England, they returned to Winnipeg (1987). After Fred's passing, Joyce moved into Hamilton House until it was necessary for her to move into Oakview. We wish to thank Dr. Y. Kotecha and the staff at Oakview for the care she received. Funeral service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. on Monday, July 24 at 5:00 p.m., with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers if friends so desire donations in Joyce's memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Manitoba Branch, 730 Taylor Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3M 2K8 or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
