DOROTHY DOREEN MEADE April 12, 1922 July 19, 2006 Peacefully on July 19, 2006 our mother Dorothy Doreen Meade (nee Favel) went to be with her Lord. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Johnny on July 18, 1993; her children, Helena, Hazel, Marjorie, Raymond; her parents, Tom and Harriet Favel; her grandchildren and an infant daughter. She leaves to cherish her memory sons, Jack (Dorothy), Norman (Thelma), Eileen, Billy (Doreen), Marlene Smith (Richard), Allan (Rhonda), Roland (Doris); sisters, Alice Cameron and Mulvina Thomas of Peguis, MB; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends whom she dearly loved. Mom was born on April 18, 1922 at Black Bear Island. Mom was a true servant of people. She was a community Mom who loved to cook and care for her children, grandchildren, friends and family. Mom was a very spiritual person who taught many how to Pray. She did the best she could for everyone. Mom will be remembered for her sewing and beadwork skills. Her hobby was making gauntlets, mukluks and moccasins. She was the epitomy of what a mother should be. Wake services will be held at her home in Manigotagan beginning Friday evening. She will then be taken to the Manigotagan Community Centre on Saturday where wake services will continue until her funeral Monday, July 24 at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Gerry Sembrano presiding. Prayers will be said each evening at 9:00 p.m. Interment in the Manigotagan Catholic Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be her great-grandsons, Kody Howard, Steven Alix Meade, Stephan Howard, J.D. Smith, Aaron Favel, Cody Meade and Cody Spinelli. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Raymond Meade, Jack Meade Jr., Richard Smith Jr., Billy Meade Jr., Desmond Smith, Earl Wood. The family would like to thank Dr. Jay and the Nursing Staff of the Pine Falls Hospital for taking such good care of Mom. A special thanks to aunt Martha, family and friends for being with mom at the time of her passing. YOU'RE SPECIAL GRANDMA You have a gift of bringing joy to others day by day...
