JAMES BERNARD (J.B.) WHORPOLE Passed away peacefully in his sleep at St. Boniface Hospital on July 18, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 75 years. He was born in Toronto on June 4, 1931 to parents Fred and Irene Whorpole. Survived by his wife Vera of 56 years of marriage, also by six children and their families, daughters, Irene (Jim) Kozak of Thunder Bay, Carol (Charlie) Huston of Winnipeg, Judy (Garry) Hundley of Alpharetta, Georgia and sons, Ron (Susan) of Thunder Bay, Ken (Glenda) of Sault Ste Marie and Brian (Linda) of Queensville. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, Kristine, Steven and Michael Kozak, Scott and Ryan Huston, Andrew Hundley, Michelle and Kevin Whorpole, Shannon, Ashleigh and Jessica Whorpole. He is also survived by his sisters, Patricia (Gene) Weeks, Rancho Cordova, California, Carol (Robert) Profiri of Toronto and brother Ernie (Audrey) Whorpole of Toronto, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, one daughter in infancy, Joan Judith and brother Fred. Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital, also to the Home Care nurses and coordinator. In accordance with Jim's wishes, no formal service will be held.
