MARY (MOLLY) DOIG (nee COOK) It is with great sorrow that the family of Molly Doig announce her passing in her 93rd year on July 21, 2006 after a brief illness. She is survived by her daughter Jo-Anne; sons, Robert (Cheryl) and John (Sharon). She also leaves two grandchildren, Catherine (George Kovall) and Michael (Ainsley Richardson); and great-grandson George Robert. She is also survived by her sister Honora Woodman, several nieces and nephews, and many friends. Molly was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 1985; sister Esme Doherty; brothers, Cecil, Ernest, and Thomas. Molly enjoyed travelling, oil painting, ceramics, curling, bowling, jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles. She enjoyed her many years of volunteerism at the Nearly New Shop. Molly was known for her quick wit and her generosity of spirit. Molly was a member of St. Paul The Apostle Church and past parishioner of Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church. The family extends their appreciation to the Kiwanis Courts, the staff at Grace Hospital and Molly's caregivers for their concern and help. Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, July 25 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul The Apostle Church, 2400 Portage Avenue with Fr. Mark Tarrant officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 1160-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
