MARY TIMLICK (SIMPSON)

MARY TIMLICK (nee SIMPSON) Born in Aberdeen, Scotland on December 29, 1920, passed away July 23, 2006. Mary is survived by her sons, Lloyd and Glenn; sisters Daisy and Betty; and daughterin-law Rhonda. She was predeceased by her husband Harry, sister Lily and her brothers, Sandy and George. Mary was proud of her service in the RAF from 1939 to 1946 where she achieved the rank of lieutenant. She moved to Canada late 1946 and has made Winnipeg her home ever since. Mary worked many years for the Manitoba Association for Retarded Children. Mary was an independent woman of dignity and grace. Her family and many friends enjoyed her keen sense of humour, generosity and affection. Mary thanks all the nurses and healthcare workers at the Victoria General Hospital and the Grace Hospice who cared for her. A memorial service and reception will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 27 at Mary's Home.
