MARGARET PETASKI (nee EVASKAVICH) Surrounded by her family, Margaret Petaski, aged 84 years of East Selkirk, passed away at the Grace Hospital on July 21, 2006. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Michael in 2002. Mom is survived by her son Ron (Barbara) Petaski and daughters, Sharon (John) deGroot, Donna (Len) Pastetnik and Debbie Belcourt; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous other family members. Mom was born in Rossdale and after marrying Michael Petaski in 1942, they moved to the Lockport area where they lived and farmed the rest of their lives. A prayer service will be held on Tuesday, July 25 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel 309 Eveline St. in Selkirk. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 26 at 10:30 a.m. in the Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, 5819 Henderson Hwy. Interment will follow in the Churchyard cemetery. The family extends their sincere appreciation to the nursing staff of ward 3N and Dr. Frank Bovell at the Grace Hospital for their compassion and excellent care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of mom to the Salvation Army (Grace Hospital). Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
