NORMA (DOLLY) SAUNDERS (nee WILDE) On Friday, July 21, 2006, Mrs. Norma Gail (Dolly) Saunders, aged 59, went home to be with the Lord. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, Dolly will be deeply missed by many. Born in Kettle Point, ON, March 10, 1947, Dolly was the daughter of Sidney and Grace Wilde. She married Charles J. Saunders on August 7, 1976 and moved to Norway House, where they raised their four children, Rhonda, Sherri (James), Nicholas and Jennifer; and welcomed their grandchildren, Christian, Chance and Logan. Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubiesstrength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates. - Proverbs 31 Together with our family and friends, we gather to celebrate her life and the start of her heavenly journey. Wake services are to be held on Tuesday, July 25 and Wednesday, July 26 at the Norway House Bible Church. Funeral will take place on Thursday, July 27 at 2:00 p.m. at the Keenanow United Church, Norway House, MB. The family would like to thank Northland Funeral Home, Ed and Karen Lytle, Norway House Cree Nation, Cross Lake Medical Services, Jenpeg Emergency Fire Services and the many family and friends that have comforted us with their presence and prayers.
