URSULA PETER Born in Germany in 1929. At age six months, her parents immigrated to Canada, and settled in Rosenfeld, MB, where they lived until 1948 when the family moved to Winnipeg. Ursula is predeceased by her parents and brother Gerhardt. She is survived by two sisters, Edith (John) Klassen of Altona, MB, Irma Carlson of Phoenix, AZ; three brothers, Kurt (Lynn) of Williams Lake, BC, Erich (Audrey) Peter of Duncan, BC, Helmuth (Kay) Winnipeg; five nieces and four nephews. Her nieces and nephews were a very special part of her life. Special thanks to niece Cheryl-Ann Shurvell for always being there for her. Also special thanks to long time friend Murial Gambrel. Ursula taught school for one year at Faulkner, MB, then went to work for the Canadian Wheat Board for a number of years, and later worked for CNR until retirement. She enjoyed the fine arts, especially the ballet, symphony, and theatre. She also enjoyed travelling. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 28, at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.
