Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOROTHY KATHLEEN MCINTYRE April 29, 1918 July 23, 2006 On July 23, 2006 we lost our north star, the constant in our family, the one who was always there, always strong. As we struggle to accept this huge loss in our lives, we have to pay tribute to a woman who meant so much to all of us, and leaves us with a legacy of memories that will live on. We will remember our Mother and Nana in many ways, but always as the one person we knew who could make anything, sew anything, mend anything, and grow anything. She could pretty much do it all, if it needed to be done. She was much more than capable. Whether she was knitting afghans, sweaters, socks, mittens (without a pattern) or making her famous apple crisp, Nan was amazing. The lunches she packed for your road trips were a tradition and there were always pickles!! She loved life, meeting new people and babies, playing games, always interested in whatever was going on around her. People and animals all benefited from her nurturing nature. She was sincere, honest, hard-working and loving. If you met Dorothy once you would probably remember her quick wit and great sense of humour. We will never forget her. Predeceased by her husband of 64 years, William (Bill) on April 1, 2006, Dorothy is survived by daughter Anne (Rick) Kaiser; son Neil (Eileen) McIntyre; grandchildren, Rick McPhee, Craig McPhee, Katelyn McIntyre and Emily McIntyre; and three great-grandchildren, Derek McPhee and Bryce and Darby McPhee. There will be a gathering to celebrate Dorothy's life Friday, July 28th at 2:00 p.m. at the family home. HENDERSON'S LANGLEY FUNERAL HOME 604.530-6488 www.hendersonslangleyfunerals.com
