LOUIS SOPKO It is with deepest sorrow that the family of Lou Sopko announce his peaceful passing at Grace hospital on July 24, 2006 at the age of 89. His devoted wife Frances, was at his side. Lou was predeceased by his parents, Alex and Paulina; sisters, Ann, Lee and Jean. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife of almost 61 years, Frances; daughters, Sharon (Wade) Benjaminson, Darlene (Gary) Willis; grandsons, Gary (Jennifer) Benjaminson, Bryan (Fawn) Benjaminson, Dusty Willis; granddaughter Kristy Willis; great-grandchildren. Brittany and Royal; sister Elsie Bower; and numerous nephews and nieces. Lou married Frances on August 25, 1945. He was a wonderful husband and outstanding father, grandfather and G.G. Lou enjoyed his career as a grain farmer until his retirement in 1977. He loved spending his winters with Frances in California, Arizona, Florida and especially Hawaii. These holidays were enhanced when joined by their daughters and their families. Lou derived great pleasure from his curling, golfing, and his beloved Bombers and Jets. A special thank you to Dr. Joshua and the staff on 5 north at Grace Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca. A private family service will be held with Reverend Fred Lynch officiating. Forever in our Hearts Rest in Peace.
